Matrix has a long history of strategic growth, all with delivering the best service to our customers in mind. From our humble beginnings of 4 founders sharing a single phone line to our current global infrastructure of 5 companies with 5,000+ employees, we're proud of our journey.  
  Matrix Service was founded April 4, 1984 in a small garage in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by 3 former Tank Service, Inc. executives and a silent partner.  
  We opened our first Union office in Michigan.        
  Matrix formed PetroTank Equipment, Inc. to develop and sell tank seals.      
  We're growing! We opened offices in Houston, California and Delaware.      
  Matrix acquired the first of many companies: Midwest Industrial Contractors.    
  We launched Tank Supply, Inc. which is now known as the Catoosa Fabrication Division.      
  The company is taken public and traded at NASDAQ under MTRX.    
  Matrix acquired San Luis Tank which included West Coast Industrial Coatings and opened an office in Northern California.        
  We acquired Colt Construction, Inc. which included Duncan Electric and expanded service to the Oil, Gas and Chemical market.      
  Matrix acquired Heath Engineering in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada servicing AST Repair market.        
  The company acquired Brown Steel.      
  We acquired General Services Corporation, including MainServ, EPS and Allentech.      
  The New Tank Division (now Tank Construction) is established.    
  Matrix acquired The Hake Group of Companies providing entrance into the Electrical market.      
  We acquired specialized engineering technology and assets and personnel.    
  Matrix SME acquired S.M. Electric Company.      
  Subsidiary Matrix PDM Engineering acquired EDC, Inc., a specialized material handling engineering firm.    
  Matrix acquired Pelichem Industrial Cleaning Services.      
  Matrix acquired Kvaerner North American Construction and established Matrix North American Holdings.    
  The company established Matrix Applied Technologies, our products subsidiary that offers proven, cost-effective and innovative products to the AST industry.      
  Matrix Service acquired certain assets from HDB, Ltd., a premier provider to energy companies throughout the Central Valley of California.        
  Matrix NAC and Matrix SME merged into one. The combined Company will operate as Matrix NAC.      
  Matrix Applied Technologies acquires Baillie Tank Equipment, an internationally-based company with nearly 20 years of experience in the design and manufacture of products for use on aboveground storage tanks.      
  Subsidiary Matrix PDM Engineering acquires Houston Interests, LLC, and its brands: Devco, River Consulting, Devco Process Heaters, S & R Technical Services, Inc. and Process Plant Services, LLC.
